This is a tough question, religion is so personal, and regulating it, or making non-religious rules for it… Do we have to? I mean really? What kind of rules would you even apply to new or up coming religious organizations? How do you even know that these new groups would even identify themselves as religious? Maybe these new groups consider themselves more philosophies rather then religions. Man…. Maybe we shouldn’t regulate them at all unless they are doing something illegal.
What I’ve noticed is that New thought focuses more on spiritual well being than physical well being, and that only when one experiences death can they be one with the universe, as well as god.
